Spring Tulips II

Spring Tulips II

« Previous   Main  Next »

So I've been practicing a little bit more with Photoshop as of late (although I have to confess, I still favour shooting straight out of the camera whenever possible...I'm not that in to heavily processed images). Anyway, this is the original colour version of a black and white I posted earlier here:

Spring Bloom

It was shot with my 50mm lens and a yellow filter, then I played around with it a bit on my computer to get it to look like this. Not sure which I like better...

Also, thanks to all those who continue to post on this blog...I know I've been terrible with updates lately, but it's been a HUGE year and I don't always have the time I used to for posting!

I think the color one is more beautifull! Cuz the picture itself has to transmit warmth, and b&W pictures are cold!

I like the color one too, particularly the softness of the photo and the warm tones. Very nice.

I like the strong colors of this shot. The detail is equal, but I feel the color version presents the background more appealingly.

I 'mostly' do things in photoshop that I did in the darkroom.
I like the setup here with the blast of warm colour on top.

Nice use of tone and focus.

And it's good to see you're back on the pretty pink flowers again. Hah!
